Company Locations

Overview

A company location represents a physical site or facility where your organization operates. In the software, each location is defined by a short Location Code (an identifier) and a Location Name (typically a city or site name).

Role

Locations form a foundational part of your master data. They are directly linked to departments and projects across the system.

Prerequisites

At least one location must be created for the software to function properly.

Operation & Functions

The location management screen contains the following elements:

  • New button: The top bar features a "New" button that allows you to add new location.
  • Overview: The screen displays an interactive table that lets you sort, filter, and search using the column headers.

The overview itself contains the following controls:

  • Edit button: Allows you to edit an item.
  • Delete button: Allows you to delete an item.

Note: In the server edition of the software, certain elements may not be visible depending on your user permissions.

Adding a Location

To add a new location:

  • Select Locations from the left navigation menu.
  • Click New.

New Button

  • Enter the Location Code and Location Name in the input form.

Add Location

  • Click Save.

Editing a Location

To update an existing location:

  • Select Locations from the left navigation menu.
  • Locate the target item and click Edit.

Edit Button

  • Update the necessary fields and save your changes.

Deleting a Location

To remove a location:

  • Select Locations from the left navigation menu.
  • Locate the target item and click Delete.

Delete Button

  • Confirm the deletion in the pop-up window.

Warning: Exercise extreme caution when deleting a location. Deleting a location automatically removes all associated departments, employees, projects, and schedules.
